Join us on The Public Good! In this segment we will be joined by Gabrielle Gannon and Andrew Kij who are Student Attorney's with University at Buffalo's Community Justice Clinic. The topic of discussion is the Homecare Workers Rising Report that the Clinic finalized this previous semester.
In the study findings section, the report highlights innumerable issues that homecare workers and patients face in the industry. For instance, the report sheds light on the lack of resources that home care aides are expected to work with. The report also discusses unsanitary and infested work environments that homecare workers are exposed to. After discussing our study findings, the Clinic included policy recommendations that agencies can implement to solve the problems that were raised in the report.
