The Fruit Belt Community Land Trust: India Walton on The Public Good

Join us on The Public Good this week! Our guest is India Walton, Executive Director of the F.B. Community Land Trust. She'll provide an update on the FBCLT’s current and future plans, and how a grant from New York state’s Community Land Trusts Capacity Building Initiative will impact their work.

This past Friday (10/11/19), New York State Attorney General Letitia James announced Buffalo will receive an affordable housing grant as part of the state's Community Land Trusts Capacity Building Initiative. As a result, the F.B. Community Land Trust was awarded $800,000 to " create and preserve affordable housing in the Fruit Belt neighborhood."
