As we are half-way through 2019, and as the New York State legislative session has ended, we’re gathering to offer an update: what progress have we made this year on our ten advocacy priorities? What issues will we continue to advance in the second half of 2019?
Join us to hear updates on important issues such as voting reform implementation in Erie County, community-led development in the Fruit Belt, good food purchasing for the Buffalo Public Schools, preventing childhood lead exposure, and statewide climate action legislation.
The event will take place Thursday, June 27th at 10:30am at the Schiller Park Senior Center* (2057 Genessee Street, Buffalo, NY 14211).
*We are gathering in front of Schiller Park Senior Center, as we will call on the Erie County Board of Elections to add this polling place as an additional early voting site this year.
The event will feature several speakers, including:
Andrea Ó Súilleabháin, Executive Director, Partnership for the Public Good
India Walton, Executive Director, Fruit Belt Community Land Trust
Rebekah Williams, Community Organizer, Massachusetts Avenue Project
Orlando Dickson, Civic Educator, Partnership for the Public Good
Leaders from additional PPG partners, including the Urban League, PUSH Buffalo, and the Language Access Working Group.
