In recent years, Western New Yorkers have rediscovered Buffalo’s Outer Harbor: its natural beauty, ecological importance, and recreational opportunities. Local residents have spoken loud and clear: they want this fragile Great Lakes gem to be permanently protected, naturally restored, and publicly accessible. The Partnership for the Public Good has prepared a comprehensive report analyzing the assets and challenges of the Outer Harbor and calling for it to be made an Olmstedian state park. Sam Magavern, the author of the report, will share its key findings and lead a public discussion about the path forward.
This event is free and open to the public.
